Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the County of Freeborn will meet in session on
Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. in the Boardroom at the Freeborn County Government Center and live
streamed at www.co.freeborn.mn.us
1. Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Approval of Meeting Agenda.
3. Consider resolution approving the Consent agenda (the following items will be acted upon without
discussion unless an item is asked to be removed and placed on the regular agenda to allow for discussion)
 Approval of Minutes from the June 18, 2024 Board Meeting.
 Approval of Minutes from the June 25, 2024 Emergency Meeting.
 Approval of Drainage Ditch Repairs
 Approval of Regular Full-time Status Employees
4. Reports of the Board Committees.
5. New Business.
 Appointment of two Shell Rock River Watershed Managers
6. Consideration of issues presented by persons of the general public and/or other general items.

7. Public Hearing: 8:45 a.m. regarding the proposed amendment to Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances
 Consider a resolution adopting Freeborn County Ordinance 2024-00, amending Chapter 18
of the Code of Ordinances
 Consider a resolution approving summary language for publication of Freeborn County
Ordinance No. 2024-00
8. Reports of Various Departments.
A. Report of Sheriff’s Office
 Consider a resolution declaring the existence and sale of surplus county property.
B. Report of Environmental Services
 Consider a resolution authorizing the Environmental Health Coordinator and Director of
Environmental Services the decision making authority for low income SSTS cost share
funding.
 Consider a resolution amending the Zoning Ordinance (Ch. 42) as a conditional use within
the “A” Agriculture Districts in Freeborn.
C. Report of Human Services
 Consider a resolution to approve purchase of services Agreement with Southern MN
Guardianship Services 2024-2025.
D. Report of County Administrator
 Consider a resolution to accept the resignation of Ashley Hall, Veteran Court Coordinator
position in Probation & Pre-Trial Services, effective July 5th, 2024.
 Consider a resolution to fill the vacant Veteran Court Coordinator position.

 Consider a resolution to accept the resignation of April Elliott, DHS – Office Support
Specialist, effective June 17th, 2024.
 Consider a resolution to fill the vacant DHS – Office Support Specialist.
 Consider a resolution approving an amendment to the agreement authorized by Resolution
24-179 (a resolution authorizing an agreement granting statewide affordable housing aid).
