I. Project Updates / Old Business
● Traffic Circles: Wells / Douglas / Cornish Park, Meteor Avenue
● Leonards/ Boys & Girls Club: Proposed concrete bulb-outs and a speed table
● Academy Street / Muir Street (City Hall): Target start date of March–April.
● Locust Street / Willis Street (Minty’s intersection): Crosswalks and all-way stop.
II. Grants & Planning Update
● SS4A (Safe Streets for All) Grant:
Meade & Hunt will address additional citizen complaints using SS4A funds.
Estimated budget: $120,000–$200,000.
Awaiting drawings from Meade & Hunt.
The project is expected to be bid out over the winter.
Target implementation: Spring 2026 (end of FY26).
● Traffic & Safety Committee Budget: FY26 Balance: $80,000
III. New Business
● Streets Policy Discussion: DRAFT Ordinance and Staff Guidance for prioritizing NACTO
designing all roadways to match posted speed limits - see draft documents
● Future Planning: Consider expanding next year’s project study area to allow for citywide
recommendations. Review GIS accident data map to help guide future Traffic & Safety projects.
● Mayor’s Accessibility: Letter Re Maryland Ave to Gay & Water/Choptank concerns - attached
