FREEBORN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MEETING NOTICE AND AGENDA
July 16th, 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the County of Freeborn will meet in
session on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. in the Boardroom at the Freeborn County
Government Center and live streamed at www.co.freeborn.mn.us
1. Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Approval of Meeting Agenda.
3. Consider resolution approving the Consent agenda (the following items will be acted upon
without discussion unless an item is asked to be removed and placed on the regular agenda to
allow for discussion)
- Approval of Minutes from the July 2nd, 2024 Board Meeting.
- Approval of Drainage Ditch Repairs
4. Reports of the Board Committees.
5. New Business.
- 4-H Impact Report (Amy Wadding, Lexi Ignaszewski & Christy Kallevig)
6. Consideration of issues presented by persons of the general public and/or other general items.
Persons wishing to address the Board concerning matters pertaining to this agenda as
well as any other matters of County concern should ask to be recognized by the Chair
at this time. All presenting items of consideration shall address the Board of
Commissioners as a whole, and shall not direct comments to individual
Commissioners, attempt to engage Commissioners in conversation, or solicit a
Commissioner to respond to the speaker’s comments. All speakers are limited to 5
minutes each.

A. Report of Public Health
- Consider a resolution to approve a grant agreement with Freeborn County
Family Services and Children’s Mental Health Collaborative
- Consider a resolution to approve a grant agreement with Freeborn County
Family Services and Children’s Mental Health Collaborative for the
Community Health Worker
- Consider a resolution to approve a grant project agreement with
Minnesota Department of Health for Public Health Emergency
Preparedness
B. Report of Highway
- Consider a resolution to authorize agreement with City of Geneva to
improve and maintain roads and bridges
C. Report of County Administrator
- Consider a resolution to fill the vacant Assessment Technician position
- Consider a resolution to accept the resignation/retirement of Jill Westney,
Financial Assistant Supervisor, effective October 25th, 2024
- Consider a resolution to fill the vacant Financial Assistant Supervisor
position
- Consider a resolution to authorize a promotion to Detective

9. County Commissioner’s item.
- Update on Resolution 24-194; inviting Dr. Bhagra and any pertinent Mayo
staff to provide an update on Mayo Health System plans for care in Albert
Lea
