Holly motioned to adopt the minutes from the previous meeting, seconded by Ericca. Motion
carried 7-0.

Presentation by Jonathan Carroll and Mike Wells from X9 Intelligence LLC.
Ericca motioned for the committee’s Secretary, Fran Byas, to draft a letter to the City
Manager with details of the presentation provided by X9 Intelligence. Motion Seconded
by Jeanne. 7-0
Domestic Violence Awareness - Agenda Item
Motion carried 7-0

5. Presentation: Amanda Kidd from 411 Kitchen
Asked Accessibility to help get the word out on how to utilize 411 Kitchen: Community
partnership and collaboration. Wants to link arms and work with others in the community.
Currently looking for Board members and Board of Directors.
6. Next Meeting
Holly motioned that the committee cancel the public meeting in January as it falls on the 1st.
Seconded by Ericca. Motion carried 7-0
Ericca motioned in the absence of having that January meeting, that the chair, co-chair, and
secretary meet independently to formulate a presentation for the February City Council meeting.
Motion seconded by Holly. Motion carried 7-0.

Secretary sending email to Safety of Pedestrians at Traffic Stoplights to the Traffic and Safety
Committee.
Holly motioned that the safety committee look at the following intersections for safety:
Maryland Ave, Gay Street, Race Street, Popular Street, Choptank, and Maryland Ave. for
potential new signs to inform drivers of a 4-way stop to watch out for pedestrians. Ilia
Seconded: Motion carried 5-0.
Train Garden
Pet Drive – No Action Needed
Access to Grief Counseling Resources
Holy Motion that we contact the four mental health agencies: Sante Group, 4 All Seasons,
Corsica, and New Day, New Start, to give a ten-minute presentation in our April Meeting as a
panel, and ask them to tell us what they do for grief counseling, what they do to get their
message out, and how we can assist. Have information ready to present by May at the City
Council meeting. Fran seconded the motion. Motion carried 6-0.
In March, will someone from the Multicultural Center attend and speak?
ICE: How to legally navigate and provide access to information
Motion made to contact Immigration Attorneys for the next meeting on March 5, are contacted
before we make the decision on how to move forward. Jeanne seconded the motion. Motion
carried 6-0.
Holly Motion made that Ms. Johnson provide the information to Mayor Cephas about a safe
place for the committee of a food drop off for household supplies/food items for families in need.
Adrian Seconded. Motion Carried 6-0.

Apartment and Homeowners Association Connections:
Motion made by Adrian to direct Mayor Cephas to proceed with reaching out to apartments,
HOAs, to get contact information so that we can better distribute and activities that are going on
in the city, including churches, civic organizations, and clubs. Holly Seconded. Motion carried 6-
0.
4. Open Discussion
America’s 250th birthday. Use Maryland 250 for events.
Neighbor to Neighbor connects to get teens involved in keeping youth involved during the
summer months.
