LAND ACNOWLEDGEMENT
The land that Eureka rests on is known in the Wiyot language as Jaroujiji. Past actions by
local, State and Federal governments removed the Wiyot and other indigenous peoples from
the land and threatened to destroy their cultural practices. The City of Eureka acknowledge the
Wiyot community, their elders both past and present, as well as future generations. This
acknowledgement demonstrates the City’s commitment to dismantle the ongoing legacies of
settler colonialism.

A. PUBLIC COMMENT
Pursuant to the Brown Act Section 54954.3(a) the public shall be provided an opportunity to
speak only on items that are listed on the Special Meeting Agenda. Pursuant to City Council
Resolution 2011-22, City Council policy is to limit each speaker to three (3) minutes. Such
time allotment or portion thereof shall not be transferred to other speakers.
B. REPORTS/ACTION ITEMS
B.1. 3rd and G Mixed Use Public/Private Development Resolution
Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution of the City of Eureka City Council to lease and develop
the two City owned parcels on 3rd between G and H Streets through a public/private
partnership.
