CITY OF MARINETTE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES FROM APRIL 8th, 2026
a. 1st Ward Alderperson Ken Keller called the Board of Public Works special meeting to order at 04:45 PM at Marinette
City Hall Common Council Chambers, 1905 Hall Ave., Marinette WI.
b. Upon a call of the roll it was determined a quorum of the Board were present and attendance was documented as
follows:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Alderpersons Skorik, Keller, Polzin, Oitzinger & Klegin, Mayor Genisot, Public Works Director/City
Engineer Miller; Finance Director/Treasurer Miller & City Attorney Gagan.
ABSENT & EXCUSED:
OTHERS PRESENT: Alderpersons, Kowalski, Karban, Wolfe & Mikutowski, Police Chief LaCombe, Superintendent of
Public Works Stewart, Mayor’s Administrative Assistant Kust, Attorney’s Administrative Assistant Kuenzi, Mayor’s
Administrative Assistant Jan Kust, Peter Noppenberg, Michael & Melissa Ebsch.
c. Discussion and possible action to approve minutes of the February 19, 2026, regular meeting and March 3, 2026,
special meeting.
Alderperson Skorik moved/ Polzin seconded and all concurred to approve minutes of the February 19, 2026, regular
meeting and March 3, 2026, special meeting.
d. Discussion and possible action 2025 Annual Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Report.
Included in today’s packet is the 2025 Storm sewer report. Alderperson Oitzinger moved/ Finance
Director/Treasurer Miller seconded and all concurred to recommend the Common Council approve 2025 Annual
Municipal Separate Strom Sewer Report as presented.
e. Discussion and possible action regarding Bid Results for Project No. 2026-300
Bid results were included in today’s packet. The results reflect two (2) bidders responded to the request for
proposals and the low bid totaling $608,485.00 was submitted by Advance Construction. Alderperson Oitzinger
moved/ Skorik seconded and all concurred, to recommend the Common Council approve the low bid from Advance
Construction in the amount of $608,485.00 for project No. 2026-300.
f. Discussion and possible recommendation to the Common Council regarding bid results Bid Results for Lift Station
No.11, Project No. 2026-850 (former Fleet Farm Site).
Bid results were included in today’s packet. The results reflect two (2) bidders responded to the request for
proposals and the low bid totaling $259,864.00 was submitted by Advance Construction. Mayor Genisot moved/
Finance Director/Treasurer Miller seconded and all concurred, to recommend Common Council approve the low bid
from Advance construction in the amount of $259,864.00, contingent upon final approval from the Water &
Wastewater Utilities Commission.
g. Discussion and Possible Street Use permit application from City of Marinette for American Power Boat Association
(APBA) Racing Event on 06/06/26 & 06/07/26
Alderperson Skorik moved/ Mayor Genisot seconded and all concurred to recommend Common Council approve
the Street Use permit from City of Marinette for American Power Boat Association (APBA) Racing Event on 06/06/26
& 06/07/26.
i. Adjournment.
Alderperson Polzin moved/Skorik seconded and all concurred to adjourn at 04:54 PM.
