MEETING NOTICE AND AGENDA

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the County of Freeborn will meet in session
on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. in the Boardroom at the Freeborn County Government Center and
live streamed at www.co.freeborn.mn.us
1. Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Approval of Meeting Agenda.
3. Consider resolution approving the Consent agenda (the following items will be acted upon without
discussion unless an item is asked to be removed and placed on the regular agenda to allow for
discussion)
- Approval of Minutes from the March 19th, 2024 Board Meeting.
- Approval of Drainage Ditch Repairs
4. Reports of the Board Committees.
5. New Business.
- Kristine Kirsch, Pet Partners – April 30th, National Therapy Animal Day
6. Consideration of issues presented by persons of the general public and/or other general items.
Persons wishing to address the Board concerning matters pertaining to this agenda as well as
any other matters of County concern should ask to be recognized by the Chair at this time. All
presenting items of consideration shall address the Board of Commissioners as a whole, and
shall not direct comments to individual Commissioners, attempt to engage Commissioners in
conversation, or solicit a Commissioner to respond to the speaker’s comments. All speakers
are limited to 5 minutes each.

A. Report of Public Health
- Consider a resolution to approve out-of-state travel to the NACCHO 360
Conference in Detroit, MI; July 23-26, 2024
B. Report of Auditor-Treasurer
- Consider a resolution for Sale of Blighted Tax Forfeited Parcels to the City of
Albert Lea; Parcels R34.007.3400; R 4.014.0470; and R 34.033.0580
C. Report of Probation
- Consider a resolution to approve travel to the NADCP conference for Veterans
Court team members, May 21st-26th
D. Report of Human Services
- Consider a resolution to accept the donation of $600 for CVCC from Jennifer
Vogt-Erickson and Jeshua Erickson
- Consider a resolution to accept the donation of $300 for CVCC from Nunda
Township
E. Report of the Sheriff’s Office
- Consider a resolution declaring the existence and sale of surplus County
property
F. Report of the Finance Manager
- Consider a resolution approving the Committed Fund Balances
- Consider a resolution approving the 2023 Budget Amendments
- Consider a resolution approving the De-commitment of 2023 Committed Fund
Balances
