Planning Commission Minutes

Call To Order – 5:02 pm
Roll Call – McKibben, Mayor Naiber, Vaughan, Welch
Motion to excuse Mayor Naiber made by Vaughan. Seconded by McKibben. All in
favor. Motion carried.
Approval of Agenda
Motion to approve agenda made by McKibben, seconded by Welch. All in favor 3-
0. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes – April 23, 2025
Motion to approve minutes made by McKibben, seconded by Welch. All in favor
3-0. Motion carried.
Old Business: Zoning Change Request – 304 Van Buren St
Motion to keep property in the MH district by McKibben, seconded by Welch. All
in favor 3-0. Motion carried.
New Business: New Construction (Silo), Pettisville Grain
Mr. Frazer brought before the Planning Commission Pettisville Grain’s zoning
permit application for a new grain bin. Mr. Frazer explained that because the grain
bin was taller than 60 feet, it would need approval from the Planning Commission.
Mr. Welch requested the setback requirements for buildings in the M-2 district.
After receiving the setback requirements from Mr. Frazer, a discussion occurred
about the grain bin not meeting setback requirements.

McKibben made the motion to recommend to the Village Council to reject
Pettisville Grain’s zoning permit application due to not meeting the Village’s
setback requirements and height structure requirements under Section 1117.05 of
the Village zoning code. Seconded by Vaughan. Roll call: McKibben (Aye),
Vaughan (Aye), Welch (Aye), 3-0 vote. Motion carried.
New Business: Planning Commission Vacancy
Mr. Frazer informed the Planning Commission that there is currently a vacancy on
the Planning Commission due to the Village Administrator no longer being a
voting member. Mr. Frazer will notify the Village Council and the public of the
vacancy. No action was taken.
