All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our city council meeting. Sorry we got started a little bit late. I'd like to call the meeting to order. I don't have anybody listed to do the pledge, so I'll lead us in. Do we have someone? Go ahead. All right, that takes us to item number three. It's a very short agenda. It could be a record meeting in the history of Draper City Council meetings. Item three is an item for council consideration. 3A, it's an action item. It's Resolution 2542. It's a resolution of Draper City Council certifying the official canvas of the primary municipal election held August the 12th, 2025. We'll have our city recorder, Nicole Smedley. Go ahead, Nicole. All right, thank you. Before you are the final unofficial results of the municipal primary election held August 12, 2025. The results will become official upon your motion today and all of the board members' signature upon the certified results. The two candidates moving forward to the general election ballot for our at-large city council seat, a two-year term, will be Catherine Dolan with $2,406. VOTES AT 47.63%. AND BRAD BYINGTON WITH 1,622 VOTES AT 32.09%. I ALSO HAVE THE STATISTICS FROM THE COUNTY FOR THE ELECTION. WE HAD A 17.6 VOTER TURNOUT FOR COMPARISON IN 2023. THE PRIMARY TURNOUT WAS ABOUT 19%. We have 29,411 active voters. About 5,000 ballots were received via mail or Dropbox. 86 were in person. 15 from the military and disabilities ballots. And one provisional, which down below states was a same-day registration. So the challenged and unconcerned uncounted ballot statistics. 36 ballots, they had some signature discrepancies. Five unsigned envelopes. And when that happens, they do reach out to the people in every way that they can to cure those ballots. So out of 108 ballots that were challenged that had some issues, 42 were not able to be cured, so 66 were. 121 ballots were received after the postmark deadline, which is now the day of the election at 8 p.m. So we did work with our communications team and try to educate our voters to drop those off if they didn't have enough time to mail it and have it be received by 8 p.m. on the 12th. So we'll continue to do that for the general election. Does anybody have any questions? So that 121 ballots... that were returned after the postmark. I think it's important to note that this was the first year that you had to have it in before the end of the day. It had to be at the county on the day of the election. Whereas in years past, if it was postmarked on the day of the election, it would have been counted. And that was one of the differences, probably. Yes, that's true. But the legislature changed that last session to make it... So if you weren't paying attention to the legislature, I can't imagine not everyone is, that you would have missed that, but some probably did. Any other questions from anyone else? I see we have two candidates, three candidates here. Thank you for coming. Thank you for participating as well in the process. So appreciate your interest in the community and hope to see you guys in other fashions and more involved in our community. All right, is there a motion? Mr. Mayor, I move we adopt resolution 2542, certifying the official canvas of the primary municipal election held August 12th, 2025. A motion by Mr. Green, is there a second? I'll second. Second by Ms. Lowry. Any further discussion? All right, seeing none, Mr. Green, how do you vote? Yes. Ms. Lowry? Yes. Ms. Vaudrey? Yes. Ms. Johnson? Yes. That's a unanimous vote of four to zero. I'll note that Mr. Lowry is not here this evening, so... That item passes unanimously four to zero. That takes us to item four, unless there's other business from the council. Motion to adjourn. Motion to adjourn. Is there a second? I'll second. Second by Ms. Lowry. All in favor of adjourning, say aye. Aye. Are there any opposed? All right, we stand adjourned.
