Summary

The Monterey County Water Resources Agency conducted an intensive groundwater level survey in August 2025 to assess groundwater conditions in the Salinas Valley. The survey found that groundwater elevations adjacent to the coast generally increased by 0 to 1 foot, while declines were observed in areas inland. The report includes data on the 180-Foot and East Side Shallow Aquifers, as well as the 400-Foot and East Side Deep Aquifers. The findings will inform the Agency's ongoing groundwater management efforts.
