The study evaluated the existing school route plan and recommended a 35-mph school zone speed limit for the study segment to improve safety for vehicles and pedestrians traveling the area when children may be present. The study found that average, 85th percentile, and 10-mph pace vehicle speeds were slightly lower on the northbound approach at the study location.
